# Using Cekura with Claude Desktop

> Install the Cekura plugin in Claude Desktop for Skills + MCP, or connect the MCP server directly via the connector UI.

Claude Desktop supports Cekura two ways: install the **plugin** (Skills + MCP, recommended) or add the MCP server as a **connector** (MCP only).

## Install the plugin

The plugin bundles Cekura Skills and the MCP server. Skills are available in both Chat and Cowork.

    In **Personal plugins**, click **+** → **Add marketplace** → **Add from a repository**, and enter `cekura-ai/cekura-skills`.

    Install the **cekura** plugin from the marketplace.

  <Step title="Authorize MCP">
    Complete the OAuth browser sign-in to your Cekura dashboard account when prompted — no API key needed.

<Note>
  Plugin **hooks and sub-agents run only in Cowork** (they appear grayed out in Chat). If MCP tools don't appear in a Chat session, add the Cekura connector (**Settings → Connectors**) — see [manual setup](/mcp/mcp-only).

## Verify setup

Start a new chat and ask:

Claude should list real agents from your workspace. With the plugin installed, it also reasons in Cekura terms (evaluators, metrics, test profiles). On a connector-only setup, phrase requests with the workflow you want — metrics, evaluators, runs, call logs, or reports.

## Prefer the terminal or full plugin power?

Use [Claude Code](/mcp/claude-code-guide) — the CLI (or the Desktop app's **Code** tab) gives slash commands like `/cekura-onboarding`, `/autogen-eval`, and `/cekura-report`, plugin update support via `/upgrade-skills`, and the MCP failure hook.

## Troubleshooting

    The plugin's MCP may run in Cowork. Add the Cekura connector (**Settings → Connectors**) to get MCP tools in Chat, then restart Claude Desktop.

    Re-authorize from the plugin (or **Settings → Connectors**) and confirm your browser is signed into the intended Cekura account.

    Restart Claude Desktop, confirm the **cekura** plugin is installed under **Customize → Plugins**, and (for the connector) verify the URL is exactly `https://api.cekura.ai/mcp`.

    OAuth is the recommended path. If your workspace requires API-key auth or custom headers, use the [API-key setup](/mcp/mcp-only#api-key-setup) or Claude Code.
